Add leads from your phone

Send a phone number, contact, or selected text straight into Work Pilot.

Android

  1. Open Work Pilot in Chrome and install it (menu → Install app).
  2. Open a phone number, contact, message, or selected text.
  3. Tap Share.
  4. Choose Work Pilot from the share sheet.
  5. Review the extracted details and tap Create Lead.

If the source app doesn't offer Share for an unsaved number, copy it and use Paste phone number from the Leads page.

iPhone / iPad

One-tap install (recommended)

Add Shortcut to iPhone

Open this page on your iPhone/iPad for the link to work. Prefer to build it yourself? Follow Part A below.

Or build the Shortcut manually (about 2 minutes). Tested on iOS 17 and iOS 18. The Shortcut builds a small structured payload (name, company, every phone, every email) and sends it to Work Pilot in one URL. Work Pilot then shows a review screen so you can confirm before saving.

Part A — Create the Shortcut

  1. Open the Shortcuts app → tap + (top right).
  2. Tap the title New Shortcut → rename to Add to Work Pilot.
  3. Tap the settings icon (ⓘ) → turn on Use with Share Sheet. Under Share Sheet Types, check Contacts, Text, and URLs. Tap Done.
  4. Add action If. Set: Input = Shortcut Input, condition = is of type, value = Contact.
  5. Inside the If branch (saved contact path):
    • Add Get Details of Contacts → pick Name. Input = Shortcut Input.
    • Add another Get Details of Contacts → pick Organization. Input = Shortcut Input.
    • Add another Get Details of Contacts → pick Phone Number. Input = Shortcut Input. (This returns a list of ALL phones.)
    • Add another Get Details of Contacts → pick Email Address. Input = Shortcut Input.
    • Add Combine Text. Input = the Phone Number variable from step above. Separator = New Lines. Rename the output (long-press → Rename) to PhonesJoined.
    • Add another Combine Text. Input = the Email Address variable. Separator = New Lines. Rename output to EmailsJoined.
    • Add action Text. Paste this exactly, then replace each […] placeholder by tapping it and inserting the matching magic variable from the variables bar:

    • Add URL Encode. Input = the Text output above.
    • Add Set Variable. Name it payload.
  6. In the Otherwise branch (plain text / phone / URL):
    • Add URL Encode. Input = Shortcut Input.
    • Add Set Variable. Name it payload (same name — intentional).
  7. After End If, add Text. Paste exactly, then insert the payload variable at the end:

  8. Add Open URLs. Input = the Text output from the previous step.
  9. Tap Done to save.

Part B — Use it

  1. Saved contact: Contacts app → open the person → Share Contact → Add to Work Pilot. Name, company, every phone, and every email arrive on the review screen.
  2. Unsaved number, selected text, or web page: select the text → Share → Add to Work Pilot. Any phone number and email in the text gets extracted.
  3. First run, iOS asks permission for workpilot.ca — tap Always Allow.
  4. Safari opens the Work Pilot review screen. Confirm and tap Create Lead. Email is optional — a phone number alone is enough.

Tips

  • The Phone app and Recents list don't offer Share for unsaved numbers — long-press the number, tap Copy, then use Paste phone number on the Leads page.
  • For contacts with multiple numbers, the review screen lets you pick which one to save as primary.
  • Once your Shortcut works, open it → tap Share → Copy iCloud Link and send it to teammates for one-tap install.
